PTA SIG

PTA Special Interest Group

Welcome to the PTA Special Interest Group, a component of the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia (PTAG). Our goal is to represent and promote the unique interests of physical therapist assistants in Georgia, but we can’t do it without your input and involvement.

We encourage you to become active members of the PTA SIG and PTAG to support your profession. The PTA SIG is a rapidly growing group with approximately than 100 members. There are many opportunities for you to provide insight, share your thoughts and make a difference with your involvement. Have you ever thought of being a representative for the PTA on important PTAG committees such as legislation, reimbursement, or nominations? Can you offer leadership by running for one of the PTA SIG officer positions? Could you contact one of the officers listed below to see if your particular talents could be used on a short-term task force to address a particular concern? You can be an important part of our success.

The PTA SIG is committed to provide you with information on current issues impacting our profession. You will find current news in each PTAG newsletter "Objective Findings". You are also invited to attend our two PTA SIG meetings; the Spring and Fall meetings are held in conjunction with PTAG functions. You will receive announcements to remind you of these events.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact any PTA SIG officer at the information listed below. Remember, to truly represent the interests and concerns of PTA’s in Georgia we need your participation and involvement.
